Alphabet Race
A race through the alphabet!
Be the first to submit a word for each letter of the alphabet.
Players: Recommended 2–8. No upper limit.

Gameplay
The current letter is displayed at the top. Submit a word that fits the category and starts with that letter.
Randomly starting on the letter H.
Voting
Submit your word and wait for votes. If you weren't first to submit for a letter then you vote on the submission that got in first.
Waiting for other players to submit their votes.
Vote on other players' words to accept or reject them.
Penalties
If a player submits a word that doesn't belong to the category or is otherwise incorrect, it will be rejected if it receives 50% or more rejection votes.

As a further penalty, Jane must sit out the next letter as well.
You are also subject to penalties. If your word is incorrect or doesn't belong to the category, other players may vote to reject it.

There are two ways that you can re-enter the game:
- Serve your two letter penalty.
- If ever there is only one active player remaining after a rejection, then all players are automatically brought back into the game.
Play is still on "O" but you're back in the game!
Winner
The player with the most points after all 26 letters wins. If players are tied on the highest score, it's a tie!
The top 3 points scorers receive medals!
Rules
- Start: Play starts on a random letter and progresses through the entire alphabet in random order.
- Race: Be the first to submit a word for the current letter.
- Vote: Players vote to accept or reject whether the word belongs to the category.
- Penalty: If rejected, you sit out this letter AND the next one.
- Score: Accepted words score 1 point, then play moves to the next letter.
- Skip: The host can skip a letter if the group is stuck.
- Winner: The player with the most points after all 26 letters wins! Ties are possible.
Notes
- Players have a configurable timeout (default 10s) to vote. Failing to vote counts as accept.
- Nefarious actors can easily ruin this game by rejecting everyone else's submissions. Don't be that person.
Cross-Game Word Reuse
Alphabet Race may share a word pool to prevent repeated use of words across multiple games.
